Our Work.

We are dedicated to building community through accessible, meaningful, and
diverse art experiences, year round and Islandwide.

We celebrate the work of our multidisciplinary team of artists, and focus on making world-class arts and culture accessible on Island.

We uphold this mission by offering pay-what-you-can ticketing at our events, ensuring cost is no barrier to enjoyment.

Our theater at the Grange Hall, with couch seating, is fully accessible and open all year.

The Drive-In at the YMCA plays classics and family films all summer long.

We produce:

  • Our signature annual event, the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival debuted in 2001. Now in its third decade, the MVFF has established itself as a world-class festival attracting notable film directors, film subjects, producers, actors, Oscar voters, taste-makers, and local patrons of the arts.

  • Cinema Circus is Circuit Arts’ main summer event for children and their families. Happening weekly in July and August, it is free of charge and gives people of all ages the chance to experience filmmaking activities, a live circus show, and family-friendly short films.

Under the Cinema Circus banner, we also bring our free, educational, kids’ media literacy and filmmaking programs to all of the Island elementary schools.

  • A collaboration with the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard, our pay-what-you-can drive-in was initially created in the spring of 2020, to provide a safe option for moviegoing in the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic. It has swiftly become a summer staple, screening dozens of sold-out movies for thousands of people—Islanders and visitors alike.

  • Circuit Films (formerly MVFF Productions) is a full-service video production company that specializes in telling compelling stories across all media platforms. Collaborating closely with clients in all stages of production, from development through distribution, Circuit Films has generated contracted and original work on both a local and national scale.

  • Children’s Theater Camp has been an Island institution for 55 years, and with the support and collaboration of Island Theatre Workshop, we are thrilled to be keeping the tradition alive for today’s youth.

Children’s Theater Camp is designed for young people ages 6 to 14. Campers will take classes in music, theater, dance and movement, improvisation, and design and tech. The camp is staffed by professional theater directors and associates, and college-level theater majors.
